Hach Launches the Most Versatile Controller for Water Analysis

Hach Company introduced the new sc200T universal controller. The new sc200 controller allows the use of digital and analog sensors, either alone or in combination, to provide compatibility with the broadest range of sensors for water analysis.

"The sc200 controller platform can be configured to operate either two digital sensors, one or two analog sensor inputs, or a combination of digital and analog," Toon Streppel, Global Business Unit Director for Process Instruments noted. "Customers may choose from up to 29 digital or analog sensors covering 15 different parameters, providing them with more flexibility than ever before."

The sc200 universal controller highlights include:

  • Maximum versatility: The sc200 controller eliminates the need for a variety of dedicated controllers and has "plug and play" operation with all of Hach's digital sensors. The multi-channel controller operates either one or two sensors reducing inventory holding costs and providing an inexpensive option to add a second sensor at a later time.

  • Ease-of-use and confidence in results: The new, improved display provides guided calibration procedures and a visual warning system provides critical alerts. A password protected SD card reader offers a simple solution for data download and transfer.

  • Communication options: Customers may choose their communication options from a variety of offerings ranging from MODBUS RTU to Profibus DPV1.

Hach’s Orbisphere 3100 Pushes the Boundaries of Durability and Reliability for Portable Oxygen Analyzers

Hach Company introduces the Orbisphere 3100, the most rugged, reliable and long-lasting portable optical dissolved oxygen analyzer in the industry. Used primarily by the beverage and power industries, it is designed to withstand the harshest environments with a stainless steel IP66 certified enclosure.

"Typical optical sensors usually require calibration every 6 months, however, you only need to calibrate the Hach Orbisphere 3100 a maximum of once per year. It maintains measurement accuracy significantly longer than other optical oxygen sensors, making it the most stable sensor with the longest calibration interval in the industry," explained Scott White, Industrial Application Manager. "And when calibration is finally necessary, it can be done on site."

With no membranes to replace or electrolyte to replenish, time spent servicing the sensor is cut in half. There is no need to send the instrument to the factory because the optical sensing spot can be replaced and calibrated by the user, minimizing down time.

The Orbisphere 3100 isn’t just tough. It’s also fast. Optical sensors don’t have to wait for chemical reactions; therefore the Hach Orbisphere 3100 provides accurate results in seconds, making it the fastest, most accurate oxygen optical sensor in the industry.
